State of North Carolina is Hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (1st) Near Burke, NC

This vacancy announcement will fill multiple QIDP positions at JIRDC. 
The Human Services Provider Program Coordinator II serves as the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) within the habilitation services to a specific caseload of residents within the facility. The QIDP is responsible for facilitating the development of the Person Centered Plans (PCP) for each of the residents on his/her caseload and is responsible for supervising the implementation of this treatment plan across three shifts of staff and a variety of daily environments. For residents in the process of transitioning to community based living arrangements, the QIDP is responsible for facilitating the development of and follow-up to the transition plan. This includes ensuring all necessary supports and training are provided prior to discharge.
 
The QIDP is responsible for supervision of the Home Manager assigned to the home and for overall management of the home and all trainer staff working in the home. The QIDP also supervises an Office Assistant as assigned to their home.
 
This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Salary Grade NC09; Recruitment Range - $38,516.00 - $67,404.00
These positions are scheduled to work 40 hrs per week (8 hour days, 1st, shift, 8:00a - 5:00p, Monday – Friday including flexibility as needed).

  • Experience managing and supervising the operation of a residential unit and developing cooperative working relationships with the residents, families, staff and communities.
  • Experience coordinating professionals, para-professional and direct support staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of person-centered services.

Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience providing professional or direct services (either paid or volunteer) in a setting that serves individuals with disabilities.

Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
